Green Mountain Heritage : the Chronicle of Northfield, Vermont : Revised Index, Updated Appendix (through January 1, 2010), Northfield and War Veterans List is now available!

The Revised Index, etc. updates Northfield's own town history, originally published in 1974 by the Northfield Town History Committee. Although the original history is now out-of-print (see listing below on how to obtain a copy), the index that was included in the book left a lot to be desired. We were fortunate  to get a grant from IBM to have the book re-indexed by a professional indexer who is also a Northfield resident, Isabel Weinger Nielsen. At the same time, we decided to update the various Appendix entries that are featured in the original book. We also realized that the town's history did not include a comprehensive list of Northfield veterans who served in the military from the Civil War through the Vietnam War, so we included those names as well. This publication supplements the original 1974 town history.
