Town Reports hold a wealth of information about a town's history. In reports you can find expenditures, the value of the Grand List, poor or work farm expenses, school superintendent reports, misbehaviors and misdemeanors, and much more.
Please note: the Town Report year is labeled for the year of the March meeting. For example, the 1958 Town Report reflects town data & reporting from the 1957 calendar year, with the meeting being held in March 1958.
Below you will find searchable, full-text copies of Northfield's Town Reports and Town Appraisals, in the standard PDF format. After checking with the Northfield Town Clerk's Office, it appears that 1859 was the first published report. Earlier reports were handwritten and are not suitable for scanning.
We recommend that you download and save reports to your computer for ease of use.
